FRAGRANCE CHOICE AND SCENTSY TIPS

Choosing your fragrance is a very personal practice. Are you looking for a fragrance to wear? How about a fragrance to welcome you home? Some of us enjoy certain fragrances while in our work place.

Let's say you're looking for a fragrance to use at the end of the day, perhaps for winding down. And, so it begins; the practice of choosing the ideal scent for the right place. After going back and forth, to and from a variety of fragrances, viola! You found the fragrance that suits you.

Your Scentsy products (bars) are delivered and you are tickled, beyond measure, to put them to use! Many of us order - or eventually have - more than we can use in the near future. While enjoying your variety of bars, what should you do with the others? If you're like me, you want to make sure you get every fragrant second experiencing the yumminess of your Scentsy bars.

Where to store them... Some people stash them in their kitchen cupboards, linen closets, drawers, etc. There is a proper way to store your Scentsy bars. The way you store your bars can affect a fragrance’s character, duration and performance.

Here are a few tips on how to properly store your Scentsy Bars to get the most out of it:

Keep them in a cool, dark place. (Try the linen closet to infuse your towels and sheets with fragrance!)

Lay them flat whenever possible. (Scentsy Consultants: Hanging them on pegs temporarily for fairs and shows is no biggie.)

Don’t leave them in direct sunlight for any extended period of time.

If you store your bars in the kitchen, avoid the drawers next to the oven or stove.

First in, first out! Rotate older bars to the front of your stash to make sure you use them first.

Avoid keeping your Scentsy Bars in the car (or any other warm place) for too long — the sun can and will melt them, depending on the temperature.

Personally, I store my Scentsy bars in an airtight container/bag. When we first started Scentsy, I wasn't sure what to do with my "extra" bars so I put them in the freezer. A few years later I remembered I had them. I was certain the only thing to do was toss them in the trash. At the last minute my curiosity kicked in so I put some of the old wax in my warmer. It was as yummy as it was from the very first time I warmed it. Decide how storing your Scentsy bars works best for you.
